Dry skin/cradle cap
Lily appears to have dry skin on her head, I'm not sure if it's cradle cap or not to be honest, I just wondered if anyone had any genius ideas on how to treat it?

Don't use johnsons it's too strong. I use simple top to toe wash, Tamsyn is same, it's dry skin and not yellow like cradle cap.
I use it with Lucas too now and it's very gentle, doesn't effect his skin whereas johnsons causes huge skin probs :-s

Re: Dry skin/cradle cap
I was recommended olive oil but with sophia, it didnt clear the problem, just made her hair all gunky and her head all smelly! But with her it was cradle cap. I used top to toe wash with her. And she did have very dry skin for a long time.
With joshy, i found that dry skin and cradel cap appeared when i started using any kind of top to toe or shampoo thingy so I just used water for ages but i do use a cradle cap shampoo now when its needed.

Re: Dry skin/cradle cap
I was told by my HV to use olive oil on Noah when he was a baby, which I did for months. It made no difference, and then a friend of mine (who's a GP) told me to stop using the oil as it CAN make their hair fall out Sure enough, when I stopped using it, Noah's hair grew lovely and thick and long as up until then he'd had virtually none. I started using dentinox and the cradle cap cleared up immediately.
