completely different

this pregnancy is starting off completely different to all my others.well i already have a girl and 3 boys so maybe i am having a baby elephant this time!!! or twins

Goodness twins! What would you feel about that? I'd wait until you were at least past 8 weeks if you do get one. I know I had one at 6 weeks (and it was just a blob) and close to 10 weeks and it was much better. Also you can get disappearing twin syndrome which must be heartbreaking if you've seen one

what makes you think you are having some twins, do you have a big bump or is there other reasons that point to twins?
i would love twins but there have never been any in my family so I probably wont ever get a pair!

Ooo such strong synptoms may suggest it's twinnies lol

doctor suggested twins as i have such bad sickness so early. she had to give me medication cos i literally cannot even keep a sip of water down. unreal hearburn and headaches. she says these strong symptoms so early are usually associated with twin pregnancies especially as i have jad no sickness in previous pregnancies x

It could be twins even if it doesnt run in the family, but if not in the family that points to it being a boy and a girl rather than two of the same sex.

My brother has twins, a boy and girl. They were in their mid thirties when they concieved and were told that at that age, you start producing two eggs at the same time often and this can lead to twins,in their case they did have twins. When it is same sex, that is when one egg splits into two. Although i suppose with two egs there is still a possibility of same sex, just less?

So although twins is related to family lines, it also can just be related to age. After all, twins have to start somewhere right?

Yeah I thought the older you were the more chance there was (not saying you're old though!). Twins run in our family. They're supposed to skip a generation aren't they. On one side we're the generation that should have been twins (and my sister was but my mum lost one) and on the other side we're the generation that should have them which terrifies me

so i am the perfect age for twins lol god help me!!

see this is my main worry if I were to have another, theres alot of twins my mum & dads side but also OH side. no too sure how Iv got away with it.

That's a very strong line!!!

It is strong but doesn't necessarily mean much. Mine was strong and my hcg levels were high when they tested them at 5 weeks (31000 and something and at that point can be between 1000-50000). Will they give you a blood test because that could give you some idea
