What type of pain relief did you use when you were in labour?

In all three of my labours I only used Gas and Air

nothing with either, they don't give you pain relief here (not very easily anyway!)

Everything.

Had nothing while he was the right way round.

When he turned back to back I had gas and air which I hated. Then I had pethidine which I didn't really want and the midwife pretty much forced on me. It was horrible because it just takes away the build up to the pain and leaves you with the worst bit. Then I had an epidural. I didn't really want one as I was worried about anything going in my back but it was great. I could feel my contractions but no pain
