Casserole

This is going to sound really stupid but how do you cook it? Is it just a case of bunging whatever meat it is with stock and veg in the slow cooker or is there more to it than that

Depends what you want in it I use chicken or beef and add onion ,carrot, swede ,turnip ,parsnip ,red and green peppers and 1 clove of garlic salt pepper and stock plus a tablespoon of corn flower just to thicken slightly

I do the same as Rach but no corn flour, I put pearl barley in about an hour before the end and then Dumplings in 40mins before the end, and hey presto amazing stew
