Chicken Pox
So last week Cleo had chicken pox. There's no sign of it on Mia yet. Do you thing she's skipped it as it was around the 2nd Nov that Cleo got the first pox so nearly 2wks. Any guidance?

Re: Chicken Pox
it can take up to 21 days for the virus to even start from the day of contact then the spots take at least 1 week from the virus starting to appear so I would say if nothing happens after 4 weeks after Cleo's spots first broke then Mia probs has skipped it
Re: Chicken Pox
I heard they are contagious 2 weeks prior to the spots scabbing over and that it can take 2 weeks for signs to show so I'm with Rach 4weeks sounds about right

Interesting you bring this up. Wondering if Soph may be on the way to having them. What are the first signs of it before the spots? Just wondering as she was in contact with a girl at my friend's party who came out in chicken pox two days after the party, so is fairly likely that she could have caught it too. It's just that tonight she has been off her food and has a slight temp and feelign cold but obv quite hot. Could just be a bug or just run down but just wondered...

Re: Chicken Pox
Mandy chicken pox generally starts with cold/flu symptoms so she could well have them on the way.

oh joy! Thanks Kell. Will check for spots in the morn then! Still, if she has got it, at least it gets it out the way!

Re: Chicken Pox
The spots can take a while to come out so she may not get them just yet, but its worth keeping an eye out for the next 7-10 days.
I've wanted Charlie to get then since 6months old but no such luck lol, it's easier to deal with when they are little!

Re: Chicken Pox
Cleo was grumpy and snotty and choked with the cold and a temp for a good week before. Didn't help she was teething too x
