no one will do anything!!!
im about at breaking point with jamies eczema!! his leg is still horrendous and the doctors will not doing anything other than give him a course of anti biotics and cream! IT DOESN'T WORK! surely they must realise that after giving him it 5 times! i've just booked another appointment for this afternoon as he can't carry on like this its not fair on him! hes up every night scratching! i have to chance his bedding every day as its covered in blood every morning! he screams when i put pants and socks on him as just touching it hurts him so much! its really not fair and im not having them fob me off again with more antibiotics! i keep asking to get referred and they say "we'l just try this 1st" its pathetic! i'm gonna see if someone will come with me as i think because im young they don't listen to me properly!
sorry for the rant im just so fed up with it now!

Don't let them fob you off Hun that's terrible!! Poor Jamie! Tell them you want a federal now as you know it will take time for an appointment to come through and in the mean time you will try another treatment if that's what they suggest!

I used sudocreme on cleo's and it helped clear it up a bit. I also stopped putting any product at all in her bath including the oilatum as it made her worse. Let it air if you can too. I think there's a natural remedy involving eggwhite or summit too. Anythings better than letting him suffer x

we've tried everything! got so many creams at home! including things from health shops etc! the creams would probably work tbh but cos he can get to it hes gonna scratch it! theres nothing that can stop him! its that bad we even spoke about making our own cast sort of thing to put on at night to stop him getting to it! x

Hi Hun,
Hope you got referred to hosp, they have to if you ask, they can't say no.
I've took all products out,
All bath stuff
Only use fairy tablets no conditioner
No soap just water and plain wipes.
We also brought some scratch sleeves, these have been a godsend, I put them on, then his pj top so he can't get them off.

Have a look cost us £10 for a pair they wash nd dry easily.
Lucas skin is much better since I've done all this

It's not bad hun. My friend used to wrap the wee one in bandages so she couldn't get to it at all. Try putting a onsie on that has feet. That way he won't be able to reach the skin x

My cousin had it pretty bad when he was younger and the Doctor gave him something we called 'Wet bandages' Its like a plaster cast before its set, If you've seen/ felt that.. This never sets by the way.. Its messy, But works great.
Poor guy
My whole family suffer with it.

Re: no one will do anything!!!
Well i saw a different doc on friday and as soon as he saw it he said it needs looking at properly and gave him an urget referal to see a dermatoligist! Anyway saturday morning i got a letter through for an appointment at hosp on tues! Cant beleive how quick he got me an appointment! As for wet wraps and bandages we've tried them a few times but he can get them off! And when he doesnt, we have to change them te next morning and they stick to his leg and we literally hVe to peel them off him whilst he screams because its ripping his skin off at the same time! Its heartbraking!
Anyway we will see what the dermatoligist says on tues xxx

Brill! Glad the other doctor listened to you, hopefully now they'll be able to do something, poor Jamie. You amazing mum doing all you can for him. It must be the most heartbreaking thing in the world seeing him in such pain every day,

That's great Hun, have a look at the sleeves though, he can still scratch but his hands are covered in satin so doesn't mark his skin.
Also found if Lucas gets too warm, causes a flair up

Re: no one will do anything!!!
The woman i saw was really old but she was amazing!! Soon as she saw it she said she hadnt seen anythig that bad in a long time! Shes booked him into the daycar unit for a morning (10th dec) where they will show me how to properly dress his leg with whatever they think is best when they see him! In the meantime i have more cream to use which i pick up tomorrow! Just hope the end is near cos i cNt stand to see him in pain much longer! And also i would love for him to be able to wear shorts next summer without people staring, pointing or making rude comments! Just fingers crossed it hasnt scarred his skin! Xxx
