bleeding after birth

just wondering how long your bleeding lasted after birth? i am 4 weeks on tue and still going strong, i know i had a rough time this time, plus now have had an infection, but its really bugging me now i just want to get back to normal, just as i think its going it comes back just as strong

I was off and on for 5 weeks

About 5 or 6 weeks both times x

I think 4 or 5 weeks. I know I had a period just before I went for my 6 week check so it had finished by then

How did Lily get to 7 weeks already?

Actually more impressively - how did you find time to set this up when you have a 7 week old

Lol Rach did the hard part, I've just added forums and changed a few colours!
But to be fair Lily still sleeps quite a lot I'm sure that will change soon :S

Time does seem to be flying though, which scares me

I think it probably depends on what kind of coil you have. Aren't there two types?

I was 11 weeks after Stephen and 8 weeks after Thomas

Mine was only about 2/3wks with Oliver, defiantly done by 4wks

Mine definitely dragged on with Isla, I think partly if you go on the mini pill that causes irregular bleeding. Once I gave up on that at around 10 weeks it finally stopped x

I had a c section and was bleeding for 6 weeks,but mine got heavier rather than easing off and on the 6th week i was back to wearing 2 maternity pads and changing every half an hour,i ended up anemic,doctor gave me some tabs to slow it down which didnt work and last week i started taking the pill and it has now stopped thank god! was starting to walk like i had lost my horse wearing the maternity pads!

lo,l i am already anemic so i hope it doesnt get any heavier, think i am just paranoid about bleeding after loosing so much blood after birth

I don't blame you after what you have been through. Maybe see your gp just to get checked out/peace of mind x

i think i might, found out i had an infection last week too so just finished antibiotics so might phone and ask if i need another swab to see if its away bloody paranoid lol
