Slow cookers (again)
Sorry another question. How slow are they? I leave for work by 7 and don't eat until at least 7. Do they cook slow enough to leave them for that time or would I need to buy a timer plug to set it to come on at some point in the day?

Re: Slow cookers (again)
We have a low, medium, and high setting. So for all day we put it on low and everything's fine.
As long as there is enough liquid/stock in there and it won't dry out then all is fine for a 12 hrs cook.

I think if you put a decent amound of liquid in and put it on low setting it should be fine all day.

Sounds like something that would be useful in our house for the days I work.
What do you cook in them. The only thing I can think of is scouse.

There's one for £15 on asda website too but it's much smaller so if you're cooking for whole family probably not ideal

Re: Slow cookers (again)
I've ordered the smaller version of that one. There's only 3 of us and most of the time I'll only be cooking for me so should be fine

Re: Slow cookers (again)
There are a few on tesco direct so I'm going in to the store once I've got Ellie from pre school and will get one. Is it really sad that I'm dead excited about it? Lol

Re: Slow cookers (again)
Ok - I've bought one. It was £14 from tesco and only 3.5 litres but I'm so exited. I've bought stewing steak and mushrooms for one night. Lamb to do scouse another night and chicken, tinned tomatoes and olives for another night. I'm so excited xx
