Kindle

Think I might get one for Christmas of Oh. Anyone know anything about them?

I have brought one for my sisters b'day which was today as well
The new one that's coming out on the 25th is in colour and had a hd screen, it's more like a android tablet as well because you can go on the Internet and download apps.
It is being delivered to me the week of release so I will let you know the verdict!!

I've got one. Its an old American one though. They all do much the same thing. The biggest difference is whether you get wifi or 3G. I have a 3G one so I can download books anywhere. If he might use the internet regularly on it (which I don't) then he'll want one with a keyboard. I have one with a keyboard though and rarely use it

Oohhh I've got kindle app on iPad and love it, been wanting to get my dad one for yrs, but he moans they too much lol

I wish I went with the Kindle when I was looking at e-readers. But I ended up buying a NOOK Colour.

I personally would't go for this. I have a kindle and a tablet and the advantage of the kindle (for reading) is that there is no backlight so it's easier to read whereas the computer will hurt your eyes after a while
