Slow cookers
Are they worth it and what kind of things can you cook in them? I've always avoided it because I'm normally just cooking for myself but I can always take some to work the next day and freeze the rest

Re: Slow cookers
I love mine, not used much in this house, no where to put it. But I've done
Casseroles, jackets, chicken,
My fav is a ham joint, onions, peppers and a bit of water and leave it all day,it's beautiful at end of day.
I want to try chilli next

We don't get in until gone 6 so Jamie eats all three meals at nursery or with my family during the week. Adam's really picky so we really eat the same stuff. He won't eat gravy or anything with pasta so most of the time I cook two meals

Re: Slow cookers
Clare I didn't realise you could do meat and jacket potatoes in them. Adam would eat those so I could do food for both of us for when Jamie's gone to bed. Mind you, he is starting to eat more. He decided he liked cottage pie the other day

Re: Slow cookers
it's good for curry, soup (although they don't take long anyway) stew... there's absolutely loads you can do in them but if you have a fussy hubby I'm not sure!

Re: Slow cookers
Its fine. I'll just cook them for me and freeze them. He is getting better and will try things so hopefully we'll find some more things that he likes

I love my slow cooker. You can always get the smaller ones if you're not going to be cooking for many people. My mum bought my grandparents a cute little one and they love it.

Thanks Jade. I'll have a look at that site when I'm home and see which ones I can adapt for slimming world.
Claire I've been looking and they don't seem to be that expensive
