Sleep (or lack of)
Hey girls,
William has been sleeping fairly well for the last few weeks, generally doing 7 hours, feeds then sleep for another 4, this week he's had different ideas and has reverted back to 3 hourly feeds at night, I'm shattered. I know they have a growth spurt at 4 months but I'm wondering if its come early? Anyone else's baby had the same?

It could be a growth spurt but I remember when finlay was 12 weeks I was looking something up and it said that around this age is when there digestive system matures, so it could be that he is digesting quicker and needing to feed more regularly, either way I'm sure he will adjust soon and be back to normal feeding times x

I'm yet to get my guy to sleep more than 3 hours straight at night. He's EBF & 6 weeks old.. I sure hope it doesn't get any worse when he's having a growth spurt. I feel like a train wreck already.. and more than likely look like one too. 11`

William was about 7/8 weeks before he stopped 3 hourly wake ups, so hopefully it won't be too much longer
Thanks girls, I guess I'll just have to hope it doesn't last long. I'm getting the hang of 10 minute power naps to keep me going at the moment

Re: Sleep (or lack of)
Jamie had a growth spurt about this time. He still never went more than 2 hours at a time by this point (and tended to cluster feed until midnightish anyway) but started feeding hourly or more at this point. I remember posting on banda in tears about it and everyone said it was a stage he was going through (actually I think most told me to give him formula but I was too stubborn). Jamie was big like him as well. He was in 3-6 month clothes at about 6 or 7 weeks and 20lb by four months (can't remember what he was at three and Adam's asleep so don't want to go and get his book and check)

Well it was every 2 hours last night, so tired this morning and have no chance of sleep today he sounds similar to Jamie.
Jade she's up and down, last week she was a little terror then this week she's been better but she has wet herself twice at preschool despite being dry for nearly 18 months, I think she's really struggling with all the changes this year. We'll get there x

Sorry last night was tough Hun, have you tried expressing and letting daddy have a go? Might help you out a little to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Poor Chloe kids are resilient she will be ok bless her x

Re: Sleep (or lack of)
I was up feeding every hour last night for 30 mins each time, even then he didn't settle. Come 10am he's out for the count and I'm left doing housework but no chance of sleep. I sure it gets better in a few weeks. Although then again he has his jabs coming up next week I think.
