What age can babies be put in them? Lily can support her head amazingly well so in theory I can get her to use it, but she's only 11weeks it just seems to early?

I think its 3 months. I never used one with Jamie as he was too big. Jamie was sitting at four months though so I guess you would have to base it on your individual child. If she's got a strong neck then I don't see why she shouldn't
