How much did you gain ? This is what the so called experts say A well-nourished, healthy woman can expect to gain between 25 to 35 pounds during her nine months. An approximate breakdown of pregnancy weight gain is as follows:

7 - 9 pounds of baby

2 pounds of placenta

2 pounds of amniotic fluid

4 - 5 pounds of increased blood volume

2 pounds uterine enlargement

3 - 4 pounds of fluid in maternal tissue

1 pound of breast enlargement to prepare for breastfeeding

Any remaining pounds are a general deposit of fat required by the body for breastfeeding and energy stores

In cyprus they "allow" you to gain 12kg,.so approx 26lb. Broken down into 2kg 1st trimester,4kg 2nd.trimester and 6kg third trimester. If you go over these guidelines they really freak out!
With tyler I gained 12kg!.but lost 7 just giving birth lol he was 3.5.
With finlay I gained about 4kg I think,i was quite ill at first so lost a fair amount.

A lot but mine was mainly fluid retention because of my stomach problems. I'd lost 3 stone within a week of giving birth

I can't remember rich.

With Lucas I gained 11lb while pg, the day after he was born I was a pound lighter than I was week before I found out I was pg.

I then lost 2 stone, got pg with Tamsyn.

I gained 11lb in pg with Tamsyn, day after I was a pound heavier than I was week before I was pg.

I've lost nearly a stone since she was born :-) and lighter than I was on wedding day Smile
