Exotic meats..
Is there any exotic animal you'd like to try but haven't got round to it?
The other day I cooked wildebeest pie, it was lovely!! I only did it because Jody had tried it in South Africa and wanted me to try it because he thought I'd like it.
It tasted like beef but much softer, fell apart in my mouth it was yummy.

Oh I enjoyed snails - it's all about the sauce cos they don't really taste of much in themselves - not much different to mussels really.
I've often been tempted by the Cuisses Grenouille but as it's a main course always worried at the enormous waste of money if I didn't like them. I have had horse though, which was ok; suckling pig could have been better, I wouldn't bother again; octopus is chewy and horrible; rabbit is deeelish! None of those things are especially exotic though are they

No way!!
I'm a proper foody and don't mind most fishy things but I'm not going to start tucking into animals. Yes I eat the usual meat but don't see them as animals lol

HAd vennison (that is deer right?) and was lovely, like beef but soooo tender) and i agree that rabbit is lush, tastes like chicken as i remember it!
Wierd or unusual foods, though, have eaten puffball before. Guess what it tasted like?....... lol

We have a world food fair/market every year overs in Liverpool and we try to go every year just me and my other half. We had kangaroo and ostrich burgers last year I think. Can't say I noticed they tasted any different to a normal burger tho so maybe we were ripped off I like the waffles and hot chocs better anyway.
