Apps for kids
Hey girls
I need an app to help Ellie learn her numbers.
She starts proper nursery on Monday and they've given me a assessment sheet to see wheres she's up to and i realised that although El can count and knows how many two and three etc means. She doesn't recognised the numbers.

Android or apple? I found with my tablet (android) that if I did a search it came up with loads of free ones. Haven't really tried them yet with Jamie so no idea what they're like

No idea then - sorry. Lise had loads but they were all android. I suspect if you search there'll be some free ones you can try though

Re: Apps for kids
I have one on my iPad called toddler teasers and it has numbers, letters shapes etc in it you can turn catagoreys on and off so you can just have numbers. It was only cheap I think but it is brilliant Sophie knows all her numbers from 1-10, all simple shapes like star, square, hexagon, heart, circle etc all colours ... Lettered aren't great because wwe have been learning lower case and They show capitals but still will be good when we move onto capitals :-)
It has a flashcard bit when you swipe across and it will say the name of the number or a quiz bit where it asks them to tap the 6 and then after a set amount of rounds it gives a sticker :-)
Can't believe Ellie is starting nursery!!!!

Re: Apps for kids
I never actually found an app that worked as well teaching g numbers as much as with letters.
Oliver has a big wall chart with dots and numbers on that we got from the surestart people (they do something similar in elc) but we put it up on his wall in his bedroom and used to just count as we got dressed etc. He picked it up in no time
