Autumn food
What food says autumn to you. I just did Jamie some crumpets for supper as his barely eaten all day and for some reason they really make me think of Autumn

Re: Autumn food
I think homemade soup for us.
It's the start of the footy and rugby season so I usually do soup in the morning before we head out and then just heat it up when we get in. Soup is so easy and cheap to make.

Re: Autumn food
I think its because we used to eat crumpets in front of the open fire growing up. Or Scotch pancakes. Dad used to make them and we'd toast them on the fire. We used to go out and collect chestnuts as well and roast them on the fire

Re: Autumn food
I've never cooked stew because Adam doesn't like anything like that but I might try it this year. I've been thinking about getting a slow cooker for things like that

Re: Autumn food
you just chuck a load of veg and meat in a pan and cook it it's worth getting a slow cooker just for stew as the meat is sooooo mouth wateringly tender

Re: Autumn food
I love crumpets, they are so yummy. I think hotdogs and burgers with loads of fried onions on remind me of bonfire night and hallowe'en, so make me think of Autumn. And soup, love homemade soup
