presents for a 1 year old
I really don't know what to get Finlay for his 1st birthday... I know he's only little and really doesn't care but Tyler had so much for his 1st birthday that I don't think it would be fair for Finlay to look back over photo's and see hand me downs or barely anything compared to what Tyler had.
All I've got him so far is an activity cube. i was planning on getting him some bath/water toys as he loves sitting in the bath and playing in the water, he also really loves getting things out of things... rummaging as my OH calls it.
We obviously have all of Tylers old toys so need some ideas... doesn't help that his birthday is a month before Christmas... that will be a whole other dilemma!

Re: presents for a 1 year old
We struggled with Joshua's birthday too and have no idea for xmas.
We got him a bounce and spin zebra in the end which he loves, then a little backpack and waterbottle (boring but i use it instead of a change bag) then a small football and new outfit. From others he got a vtech toot toot garage, he loves that, bath toys, a scuttlebug (also a big hit).
Matt wants to buy him a ride on car battery powered type for xmas but not sure its suitable. Matts just excited about having a boy. I'm looking at mega bloks and duplo stuff too.
Not sure if that helps, you probs have a lot from Tyler

Boys we found it hard with Caleb at that age too.. girls are so much easier when it comes to toys
Re: presents for a 1 year old
oooh shell yes I forgot about the bounce n spin Zebra, I always wanted one for Tyler but never did so might get it for Finlay thank you!
I think it's hard enough getting presents for one boy let alone two haha.

Re: presents for a 1 year old
Lucas had fisher price garage which he loves.
Mega blocks,
Train which you pull along but also has the different buttons to open the top on
He quite likes that
Shape sorter and ride on train, it's a bit big or him, but it's a daddy thing to do with him

I wasn't too sure about it but got it cause i didn't know what else to get but he really loves it. He can get on it himself too which is great, even though he's a right short ass.

No idea jade.
It's our nieces little boys 1st birthday on 5 October and we haven't got a clue what to buy for him.

Re: presents for a 1 year old
Jamie got (for christmas and his birthday from various people) a rocking bike thing that turns into a ride on one, ball pit and balls, shape sorter, cars and a garage (which is the main thing his played with), a bouncing ball dino thing (which he played with pretty much constantly), blocks to build with, duplo, mega blocks, a shape sorter, trains and I can't remember what else off the top of my head. Don't know how much of that you already have though
He loved the bounce and spin zebra at nursery but we didn't have room for it

That's the one. Jamie loved it for a while. For about 4 months he played with it pretty much constantly but then the bounce started to wear out (mainly because he used to stand in it). He used to pile all his toys in to see which bounced and which didn't

That's the bike thing he got from Mum for Grandchild day at 6 months and he still plays with it. He likes to stand on it and rock

Jamie loves the alphabet train. Wow toys are also really good. Mari recommended them to me and Jamie has a few now. They're really sturdy and Jamie loves them. They've got a load on amazon although you may be able to get them cheaper elsewhere (ebay often have new ones)

I'm having the same dilemma because Stephen got so much and we really don't know what to get Thomas! We've just been trying to plan his birthday party and it's so stressful trying to accommodate the family so I think we're just going to have the day to ourselves and take him somewhere fun and the family can just pop in for birthday cake!
